I’m Hristo Dimitrov — a systems engineer and software builder with hands-on experience from cabling and hardware to Linux infrastructure, production email and custom ERP software.

My work begins with understanding the real process, then designing the software and infrastructure around it. I stay responsible after deployment: monitoring it, troubleshooting it and improving it under real operational pressure.

How I work

I’m most useful where software, infrastructure and day-to-day business operations meet.

I do not treat development, deployment and support as separate worlds. A useful system has to model the business correctly, survive production, remain understandable and be recoverable when something fails.

That perspective comes from years of supporting users, networks and servers — and from building my own tools for problems I understand firsthand.

Custom business software · In production

Star Plovdiv ERP

A mobile-first operational system built around an automotive diagnostics business: customers, vehicles, visits, diagnostic findings, finances, documents, calendar availability and public booking in one consistent workflow.

  • Designed as a TypeScript monorepo with separate web, API and background-worker processes.
  • Implemented secure sessions, TOTP, audit trails and PostgreSQL row-level tenant isolation.
  • Modelled vehicle ownership and registration history, service state machines and financial allocations.
  • Connected public booking, ERP scheduling and CalDAV-compatible calendars into one source of truth.
  • Runs with health checks, structured logging, private object storage and versioned database migrations.

Self-hosted infrastructure

Production platform on Linux

Operate a compact multi-service platform on AlmaLinux/KVM. It hosts custom applications, customer websites, databases, object storage, authoritative DNS and email behind a central TLS reverse proxy.
